Greenfield transformer station
Sandwell supplied all preliminary and detailed design, equipment specifications and construction assistance on this contractor-led EPC transformer station project. The 230 kV DESN transformer station was integrated into the Ontario Hydro power grid by means of state-of-the-art systems for supervisory status/alarm, relaying, telemetering and controls.

Kemano completion project
PHC Hydro Inc. (a joint venture in which Sandwell is the major partner) undertook designs for an expanded switchyard at Kemano, 80 km of new 300 kV, 1100 MVA transmission line from Kemo to Kitimat, and an expanded switchyard at the Kitimat smelter.
