Our Commitment
We commit to complying with all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, regulations and client policies and procedures and other requirements as applicable. Given more than one approach, we will select the more stringent. We will also constantly review, monitor and improve our policies and procedures, to be an industry leader in HSEC performance and execution.
A Proactive Framework
We will take a proactive approach to fostering a sustainable work environment for all stakeholders through an HSEC framework that complies with internationally recognized ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. We are dedicated to the continual improvement of the HSEC system, to a formal annual program review, and to promoting the policy throughout the organization.
HSEC Management System
The Sandwell HSEC Management System will allow us to achieve our policy goals by identifying the HSEC risks associated with all our activities from concept through to full implementation of engineering and construction.
The System will reduce risks and waste. Risks will be reduced to their lowest practical levels through elimination, substitution, redesign, isolation, administrative controls, and the prudent use of protective equipment. With an eye on environmental issues, we will strive to reduce waste and pollutants and use energy efficiently.
HSEC Awareness
Sandwell College will be a primary tool used to ensure continued HSEC education and training for all employees. The college will actualize our corporate values, improve our performance, enhance our communication, create greater efficiency, and share best practice across the organization.
Measuring Our HSEC Success
We will measure our HSEC performance through the establishment and accountability of our employees to HSEC key performance indicators, the use of internal audit procedures, statistics, trending, performance against annual objectives and independent third party registration.
Strong, sustainable development and HSEC performance bring value to our business partners and are key to our success.
